Seeking well paid partner or guide.

Notapor rockman el 27 Nov 2006, 14:17

Well regards, I am from Colorado having some spare time in the Andes and I get to find someone as a partner or guide. I can pay well for the task so email me for details.
My interest goes by on rock climbing (5.11) and alpine ice (AI 3-4).
High altitude mountaineering/ alpinism is also another option.

Mark Richey.

WARNING - PLEASE READ!:

We, as the Forum of Tricuspide, DO NOT offer any guide, touristic or commercial support of ANY kind for climbers or mountaineers, nor provide any reference on guides or services offered through the forum.
As a consequence of the abovementioned, we WILL NOT accept any claim or liability arising from the services or activities in which you might engage and that are offered in a private way by persons known, or not known, to the Community of Tricuspide, their sysops and Moderators.

In this specific case, you should know the following:

- The operators of the site (Tricuspide), DO NOT know this forum member Sweco, nor he appears to have been around here before (he has just one post: the one published to contact you)
- We (Tricuspide and its operators) HAVE NEVER provided this person, nor anybody outside the sysop group, with an email address hosted by Tricuspide.
- The fact that this person has an email address involving the Tricuspide name (forotricuspide@gmail.com) DOES NOT link or relate him/her with us in any way, nor makes us liable for any consequence derived from his/her acts.

So, if you're going to hire somebody, or this specific person (of whom we never heard about before), you are WARNED.

Now, go and enjoy.

So... Pada=Sweco?

What was the need to post with a different nickname then?

Pada escribió:

Rockman can do as he please, but as long as he is offering a payment for services, we want to make sure that he knows that we are not responsible for any problem arising from your mutual deal, either free or paid.
The "big deal" arises from the fact that, as you came up with an email address that involves our Community's name, we want to make ABSOLUTELY sure that Mr. Richey understands that we are not related to you in any way, and to avoid any possible claim against Tricúspide if things would ever go wrong.

Anyways, this warning is valid for anybody offering services here, either paid or not.

Re:Seeking well paid partner or guide.

Notapor Pajarito el 27 Nov 2006, 17:38

It's a pity that Sweco/Pada have deleted his/her posts, along with his/her forum profiles as well.

We have nothing in favour or against this (ex) forum member, simply because we never got to know who was him/her.
Nevertheless, we want to make clear -once again- that our only aim was to avoid any legal problem derived from this job offer.

We only want to keep the slightest possibility of a lawsuit well away.

I am sure that you understand this.

Now, if you make a deal with Sweco/Pada or whoever, we wish you luck and a rewarding experience.

Hey Mark,

Are you interested in climbing in Patagonia, in the not so popular areas? If so I can contact you with friends, who are guides and you might be able to plan a trip with them.

In any case I'll send you an e-mail.

saludos

Kiwi

pd: Pajarito, well written! Funny that the liability issue came up because of a name, which in any case I totally agree. Still, weird that just now we're discussing the same thing with our possible future club

la picardia del chileno? que verguenza, eso es desfachatez, y no me parece ni chistoso ni digno de elogios....

Mark, there are many places to visit/hike/climb, and many trained guides and intructors in Chile that can help you, just make sure you talk to the right people, people who are serious about guiding, not just some dude that appears out of nowhere that thinks he can take your money.

First of all, if you're PAYING, you have to go to a real guiding service, just for a liability issue, period. Failing to do so would be foolish on your part, and would show little knowledge of latin-american idiosincrasy.

Another thing, you might just want to look for partners in this forum. There are many people around here with various levels of skills, from noobs to advanced/experts, spend a few days talking to us and you'll know the difference.

If you're still looking for partners or guides, and haven't found any, I can point you to several options and people with great credentials.

Cheers,

no bro', don't think so, if I'm lucky I'll show up next year!! recovery is a funny thing, you know, it's like a big wall, you can see the rim, but you know you have tons of climbing and work ahead...

I'll be lucky if I can start cilmbing in the spring.... ??? :) ;)

Sorry for the mess in Patagonia.... staying there "forever" though, is probably appropiate for a guy like that, what can I say man, it's what he loved!!!!!

A mi, por lo mismo, por desfachatado y sinverguenza (y por la mula del correo), me da muuuuuucha risa el Sweco Urdemales.
